The ninth annual Hoo-Rah Day brought the Central College family together, providing an opportunity to showcase passion for our community, dedication to lifelong learning and desire to uplift the next generation.
In total, a record-breaking 441 donors gave $351,438 supporting student scholarships and programs.
Alumni, current and past parents, employees and current students contributed to the success of the day, with support for Central shared worldwide. Central’s content reached more than 28K accounts and garnered over 39K impressions. The Class Participation Challenge was won by the Class of 2026 — what an incredible show of support from current students!
It was another successful year for the newly expanded challenge leading into Hoo-Rah Day: The 1853 Challenge! The initiative, formerly known as the 53-Mile Challenge added a volunteerism element. From Feb. 16 to April 9, Central students, employees, alumni, family and friends completed 53 miles by walking, running, biking or swimming and/or completed 18 hours of service.
